It’s a sad day for anyone who loved Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as the BBC is reporting that the song’s writer, Rod Temperton, has passed on at age 66 after a brief but aggressive battle with cancer.
If the 80s are remembered for anything at all, it’s the dawn of MTV and the music video, and even though I couldn’t tell you what time to tune in to MTV to actually see a music video anymore, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention what an impact “Thriller” had on both the network and of course genre fans.
