What’s got their panties in a bunch? Apparently they don’t like either the film’s main splash page on which blood spurts up from a headless body or a risqué picture of one of the lead actresses in which her partially exposed (but nipple-less) breast can be seen. Not to worry though; both images — and a lot more — can be found on both the Severance MySpace page and the film’s UK site.
Ironically, the British Board of Film Classification, which is known for its ultra-conservativism, hasn’t raised an eyebrow over any of Severance‘s marketing tactics, further proof that the MPAA is reflecting the current climate of this country in which all traces of a sense of humor seem to be sadly MIA. First the mass hysteria over Captivity, now this. I can’t wait to see how they treat Hostel: Part II and Zombie’s Halloween!
