Though Anchor Bay did nothing with the theatrical release of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (review), dumping it in theaters with nary a TV or radio spot (that I ever heard at least), their expertise is and always has been DVD so it’s no surprise that the planned disc for the film is looking pretty good so far.

All right, so maybe it’s not as stacked as we had hoped. Damnit why can’t this movie seem to get the respect is so richly deserves? Hopefully it’ll do well when it does hit DVD and prompt AB to revisit it with more features down the road. This is one movie I’d be happy to double dip on.
