With The Ice Cream Truck (Facebook) set to start rolling before cameras next month, we’ve got a brand new casting scoop (no pun intended). Find out who’s joined the cast and what the film’s about in the press release below:

Actor Emil Johnsen is set to drive THE ICE CREAM TRUCK, which starts shooting in early June. Emil will play The Ice Cream Man, whose guilty pleasures include more than just your usual dairy confections. Not a household name in the States, Emil has made quite a name for himself overseas, winning countless awards for his “chameleon-like” performances.
Also jumping on board The Ice Cream Truck are Bailey Anne Borders (The 5th Wave) and Jeff Daniel Phillips (The Lords of Salem). The film stars Deanna Russo as a bored housewife whose need for entertainment gets the better of her.
Synopsis:
Mary’s husband gets relocated for work, which allows her to move back to her suburban hometown. As her family ties up loose ends back home, Mary moves into their new house all alone and… waits. Although her familiar suburb is a constant reminder of her youth, something seems strange. A local Ice Cream Man with a love of nostalgia starts to kill some of her neighbors. Mary is torn between her mature instincts that something is wrong and the distracting memories of her younger days.
