The serial killer film Raman Raghav 2.0 recently debuted at Cannes before being released in its native India on 24 June 2016.

Raman Raghav was a real-life Indian serial killer, and the reasoning behind his terrible crimes still remains unclear. In the film a new killer named Ramanna idolizes Raghav to the extent that he tries to replicate his killings, with a young cop trying to hunt him down and put an end to him once and for all.

Director Anurag Kashyap is a big name in India, with his previous films including Ugly and the two-part Gangs of Wasseypur. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap star.

Synopsis:
Set in present day Mumbai, the story follows the life of serial killer Ramanna, who is inspired by an infamous serial killer from the 1960s: Raman Raghav. His strange obsession keeps growing as a young cop closely follows him without his knowledge, often creating situations where they come face to face.
