There’s a whole lot going on in the world of the Big G at the moment, as Toho’s Godzilla Resurgence is headed our way this summer and a sequel to Gareth Edwards’ American reboot is also in the works. The latter project, unfortunately, is coming later than expected, and a MASSIVE mash-up film won’t be far behind.

Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has bumped Godzilla 2 from its original June 8, 2018 release date. The new plan is that the sequel will roar into theaters a full nine months later, on March 22, 2019. Additionally, Godzilla vs. Kong, which promises to be the coolest movie ever, has been dated for May 29, 2020.

Gareth Edwards will return to direct Godzilla 2, penned by Max Borenstein.

Meanwhile, Kong: Skull Island arrives on March 10, 2017.
