While there haven’t been any official Nightmare on Elm Street movies since the trashy remake back in 2010, the fans have been far from silent. Director Chris R. Notarile has produced a series of shorts called Krueger: Tales from Elm Street (Facebook), which explore the mysterious history of the man who would later don the bladed clove and striped sweater.

Check out the latest entry below, and if you like what you see, then head over to Change.org to sign a petition asking Warner Bros. to officially hire the star of the series, Roberto Lombardi, as Freddy.

Synopsis:
From director Chris R. Notarile comes a collection of tales involving everyone’s favorite slasher from Springwood. This page is dead-icated to the chronicling of all of Blinky Productions’ contributions to the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise.

In Springwood, long before he became a demon of dreams, Freddy Krueger stalked the streets under another name – The Springwood Slasher.
