Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island was a big hit at the box office and with most of us around the Dread Central offices. But no film’s run is complete without Trembles weighing on it, and today we received his take.

Shutter Island, written by Laeta Kalogridis and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson, and Max von Sydow, centers on the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

Dig on Trembles’ review below, and look for more from him every Thursday!
