Yet another villain has been named for Patrick Lussier’s upcoming 3D smash-em-up Drive Angry, and if we were Cage, we’d just let her catch us. One look and you’ll agree — there have to be far worse ways to go!
According to Variety Simona Williams (aka Simone Levin) will join Nicolas Cage in Drive Angry for Nu Image/Millennium Films, and she’ll be playing one of the ringleaders in a crime syndicate that opposes his character. Williams joins the previously announced Charlotte Ross, Billy Burke, Amber Heard, David Morse, William Fichtner, and Tom Atkins.
Drive Angry, co-written by Lussier and Todd Farmer, centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway. Amen.
