The original Alien gets another prequel and Prometheus gets its first sequel in the form of Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, which is headed our way next summer. The Australian shoot is getting ready to begin, and today brings the latest morsel of casting news. So read on for the skinny!

Per Variety, Benjamin Rigby (Plague, That’s Not Me) has signed on for active duty. He joins previously announced cast members Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez.

Twentieth Century Fox will unleash Alien: Covenant on August 4, 2017.

Specific plot details for the new film are being closely guarded; but it is believed to follow the crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet, who discover what they believe is an uncharted paradise but is, in fact, a dark, dangerous world, the only inhabitant of which is David (Fassbender), the “synthetic” and survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
