We have some sad news to share this weekend as word has come that Rose Siggins, who portrayed “Legless Suzi” in last season’s “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” passed away on Saturday, December 12th, at the all-too-young age of 43. Per TMZ, she developed complications and an infection following treatment for a kidney stone in a Denver, Colorado hospital.

Siggins was born with a rare genetic disorder called sacral agenesis and apparently suffered from kidney and pancreas issues her whole life.  A GoFundMe account has been set up for her two surviving children, Luke and Shelby.

Her manager, James Mullen, wrote on the page: I’m sad to report that Rose has passed away this morning around 7:30am. All funds raised will now be directed to final expenses and the continuing support of her children.

I suppose Elsa Mars said it best: “The death of a beloved monster is always a sorrow, but never a surprise. If oddly-formed organs or a random physical anomaly doesn’t claim them, then it is at the sheer density of their blaze. A carny’s life burns and brighter than most. It is bound to extinguish sooner.”

Her “AHS” co-stars, including Sarah Paulson and Denis O’Hare, have left touching tributes for Rose, which you can read below.  We also send our condolences to her friends and family… godspeed.
