One of the coolest things about SXSW (visit the official site here) is its PanelPicker, a simple-to-use web application that gives the online community the power to browse through all programming proposals and vote on which ideas they feel are most appropriate for SXSWeek 2010 (March 12-21). DC has proposed a panel entitled Zombies, Vampires & Monsters: Fostering Loyal Genre Communities, which will explain how to create loyal but vocal genre communities using social media tools. We will also describe leveraging those communities’ involvement to further along the horror genre.
So, how can you help? By VOTING HERE! If you like the idea and think it is something you would attend, then register on the site and click the “thumbs up” button. That’s all there is to it — unless you’d also like to add a comment. PanelPicker voting will close at the end of the day on Friday, September 4, and the first batch of programming and confirmed speakers for Interactive, Film, and Music will be revealed in October.
Hopefully we’ll see you there in March, 2010!
