Not that you could easily forget such a plot, right?
Despite sounding like something Troma would produce, the film appears to actually be respectably made as it found its way into Sundance this year, and The Hollywood Reporter has learned that it’s been scooped up for distribution by both The Weinstein Co. and Lionsgate.
This is not the first time the two have worked together, and this time the partnership will work especially well as it will allow them to get past the MPAA without having to cut out all the profane material that the group would likely find offensive. Surely that’s a good thing, though I can only imagine what that means we’re going to see when the film is eventually released.
The two companies have not had time to develop a release strategy so there’s no word if Teeth will be theatrical or home video (please let it be the former, just for a while). We’ll let you know when we learn more! Until then, learn more at the official Teeth site!
