THR reports tonight that Dreamworks, along with producer Michael De Luca and Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films, has picked up the remake rights.
Dreamworks, huh? Interesting. Maybe it will happen this time after all. No writers or directors have been attached to the project yet, but we do know that the remake will follow the same storyline as the original and “keep the comedy-horror tone while modernizing the effects.”
