Jinga will be screening the film in Berlin, followed by a showing at Cannes and AFM in pursuit of distribution worldwide. “39 is everything a good indie horror should be,” said Jinga founder Julian Richards in a press release, “intelligent script and solid performances with atmospheric photography and design.”
39: Epitaph for a Serial Killer had its premier at last summer’s Fantasia Film Festival, where it was well received by the discerning crowd. The film follows a serial killer named Carroll McKane, who has recorded the deaths of all 36 of his victims. Two more victims are lined up, and his biographer, a psychiatrist, is ordered to make the 39th kill. Head games galore ensure.
More info on 39 is available at the film’s official site or on Jinga Films’ page for the movie. Stay tuned for more as we learn it!
