Lionsgate is looking to continue its love/hate relationship with fans. Despite its better than expected box office draw, there will be no sequel to Patrick Lussier’s remake done right, “>My Bloody Valentine 3D.

Director Lussier broke the news to broken-hearted fans during his panel at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in LA. According to Patrick the studio has no intention of developing a sequel at all, preferring instead to leave this particular film as a one-shot deal.

Really? Seriously? I’ve gotta admit I’m pretty damned baffled by this news. Why not give the fans a sequel that they’d actually want?

Dig on the DVD and Blu-ray art below, and look for My Bloody Valentine 3D in stores on May 19th (pre-order it below)!
