One of the fun things about Comic-Con is the clever promotional stunts, and Sinister 2 made an impact this year with a street campaign that saw spooky twins roaming the grounds, freaking out unsuspecting nerds. I have it on good authority that our own Uncle Creepy shat his drawers.

The terrifying twins took over San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, frightening attendees with a slew of sinister projections of homemade inspired kill films starting Thursday, July 9th, until Saturday, July 11th, from the time the sun went down until well after midnight. Check out some photos below!

These exclusive collectors cards were also handed out at the event. Follow @SinisterMovie to learn where you can find the next Sinister Sighting.

Sinister 2 opens nationwide on August 21st. Ciaran Foy (Citadel) directed Sinister 2. Scott Derrickson, director of Sinister, penned the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill, with whom he also wrote the original film.

Synopsis:
In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Buhguul continues to spread with frightening intensity. James Ransone co-stars.
