Paul told us how meaningful this particular screening is to him, “I grew up in Cambridge, ten minutes from the Brattle, where the film will screen (a theater to which my parents still belong), went to Cambridge Rindge and Latin high school, and graduated from both Emerson Film School and Emerson’s screenwriting program, so being able to bring the film to Boston, not only my home town, but the town where I learned my craft, is pretty amazing for me.”
I went to school in Boston also (many years before Paul, however) and lived just down the road from Emerson, so I know how dedicated the kids are who go there. It’s awesome to see one of them achieve such great success!
Other genre films playing at this year’s fest include Pontypool (review here) and short film “Boob” (trailer here). Click here to check out the full slate at this year’s IFF and buy tickets.
