Rest in Peace: Composer James Horner

You may not immediately recognize his name, but wow, do you know his music!  A true musical genius, James Horner has been taken from us at the all too young age of just 61.

The two-time Academy Award winning composer died Monday in a plane crash. Horner was piloting the small aircraft when it crashed into a remote area about 60 miles north of Santa Barbara.

From his scores for Braveheart and Titanic to Aliens and Krull, Wolfen and even The Hand, this is a true loss to the industry as a whole. We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to offer our sincerest of condolences to James’ friends, family, and constituents.

Thanks for all the memories and feelings, sir. Your legacy will live on far beyond any of our own earthly years. Rest easy.
