Looking for some dark fantasy action? According to The Wrap IFC Films announced today that it has acquired U.S. rights to Matteo Garrone’s first English language film, Tale of Tales, a twisted anthology flick starring the lovely Salma Hayek (Everly, From Dusk Till Dawn).
Vincent Cassel, John C. Reilly, Toby Jones, Shirley Henderson, Hayley Carmichael, Bebe Cave, and Alba Rohrwacher also star.
Inspired by the fairy tales of Giambattista Basile, the film weaves together stories of the Queen of Longtrellis’ quest to have a child, two mysterious sisters who provoke the passion of the King of Strongcliff, and the King of Highhills’ obsession with his pet flea.
