If you haven’t heard of the Charlie Charlie Challenge (story here) by now, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to the Interwebs. This phenomenon, which is actually the product of what happens when basic physics collide head-on with stupid people, is perfect fodder for a horror movie (I’m looking at you, Blumhouse); and as such, the folks behind the upcoming flick The Gallows have gotten in on the act! Dig it!

Look for The Gallows on July 10th here in the States; it arrives across the pond a week later on the 17th.

Chris Lofing and Travis Cluff co-direct; they also co-wrote the script. Cassidy Gifford, Ryan Shoos, Reese Mishler, and Pfeifer Brown star.

Synopsis:
Twenty years after an accident caused the death of the lead actor during a high school play, students at the same small town school resurrect the failed stage production in a misguided attempt to honor the anniversary of the tragedy—but ultimately find out that some things are better left alone.
