During an appearance on “The Today Show” promoting “>Coraline, which he also wrote, Gaiman revealed that Neil Jordan (Company of Wolves, The Brave One) is attached to direct the film version of Graveyard Book
The story is a riff on The Jungle Book, but focuses on a boy who’s raised by ghosts in a graveyard. It’s been called the best thing Gaimain’s ever done by people whose opinions I respect, so hopefully the film version will live up to that.
Jordan, you may recall, is set to direct another literary adaptation first; Joe Hill’s Heart-Shaped Box. Keep it here for info on both projects as they develop!
