The comic, first published back in 2005, tells of a Mexican wrestler with a bad attitude who makes his way back from fiery damnation to serve as the guardian angel for a troubled Los Angeles teenager. He soon learns that the kid isn’t what he first believed and that their fates are intertwined.
Kevin Munroe, who’s preparing the film version of Dylan Dog, “>Dead of Night, will be directing Zombo, which is also being produced by fellow online geeks Jose Marttinez and Kellvin Chavez, who run Latino Review. Congrats, guys!
There are plans for more Zombo films and even an animated series at some point, but for now we’ll just wait and see how this one turns out before looking at the franchise potential.
