Mez-Itz used to be the small, blocky figures from Mezco, made up like your favorite horror baddies and several original series. While similar figure lines just painted their stock bodies and added tiny tweaks, the Mez-Itz offered a freaky amount of sculpting, even in the accessories. If you were ever in the market for a tiny little Necronomicon, this was the place to get it.
Now Mezco pumps up the scale to 6 inches and officially enters the vinyl figure wars. Mighty Muggs will never know what hit them.
Mez kicked things off with Abe Sapien and Hellboy (from Hellboy 2: The Golden Army) for Series 1, due out this July. Dread just got the below image of the test art for Series 2 including Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. No word yet on a release date.
Also no word on Frankenstein, Dracula, or the Goosebumps Dummy, Slappy, which we were shown pictures of at Toyfair 2009. Keep it glued here as we unravel the mystery!
