‘The Last Stop In Yuma County’ Trailer: A Diner To Remember

The Last Stop In Yuma County

Looking for a movie that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat that’s also great to show your Western-loving dad? Then writer/director Francis Galluppi has just the film for you with his feature film debut The Last Stop In Yuma County, a pitch-black comedy that moves at a breakneck pace through the arid desert.

Read the full synopsis:

While awaiting the next fuel truck at a middle-of-nowhere Arizona rest stop, a traveling young knife salesman is thrust into a high-stakes hostage situation by the arrival of two similarly stranded bank robbers with no qualms about using cruelty—or cold, hard steel—to protect their bloodstained, ill-begotten fortune.

The tension Galluppi is able to build in this feature film debut is nothing short of stunning. Between stellar performances and a command of the script, this is poised to be one of the best movies of the year.

In her review of the film from the 2023 Fantastic Fest, Dread Central’s Mary Beth McAndrews wrote,

With a consistent visual style, twisty script, and stellar performances, Galluppi knocks it out of the park with his take on the crime thriller with a sprinkle of pitch-black comedy. While it wears its influences on its sleeve, the film is still able to form its own identity outside of the Western and exploitation films of the past. The Last Stop In Yuma County will keep you guessing until the very end and have your mouth open in shock as the credits roll.

Jim Cummings, Jocelin Donahue, Sierra McCormick, Nicholas Logan, Michael Abbott Jr., Connor Paolo, Alexandra Essoe, Robin Bartlett, Jon Proudstar, Sam Huntington, Ryan Masson, and Barbara Crampton star in the film with Gene Jones, Faizon Love, and Richard Brake.

The Last Stop In Yuma County comes to theaters and digital on May 10, 2024, from Well Go USA.
