Rest in Peace: Albert Finney of WOLFEN and CORPSE BRIDE Has Died

Some very sad news to report as it’s been confirmed that multiple Academy Award-nominated actor Albert Finney has passed away at 82 years old after a short illness, reported by CNN.

“Albert Finney, aged 82, passed away peacefully after a short illness with those closest to him by his side. The family request privacy at this sad time,” reads a statement.

Horror fans will recognize Finney, who had been acting since the mid-’50s, for his role as Dewey Wilson in 1981’s Wolfen as well as being the voice of Finis Everglot in Corpse Bride. For me, I always enjoyed him for his roles in Skyfall, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Tim Burton’s Big Fish.

We send our deepest condolences to his family in this very sad time. We also send our gratitude for the magic and gravitas he brought to so many roles.
