E3 2018: SKYRIM Mod THE FORGOTTEN CITY Getting Its Own Full Game Adaptation

An interesting reveal out of the PC Gaming Showcase at this year’s E3 is the announcement of Modern Storytelling’s full-game adaptation of The Forgotten City, which was originally a mod for the open-world fantasy game Skyrim. A story trailer was released, which can be seen below, and the game itself will be coming in 2019.
“Deep underground in an ancient Roman city, twenty-six trapped explorers lay dead because one of them broke a mysterious law. Within, a portal leads back into the past, allowing you to change their fate – or witness their deaths in a time loop for eternity.
Fortunately, hope remains. The Forgotten City offers incredible freedom, inviting players to manipulate the timeline, Groundhog Day-style, so events play out differently. By talking to diverse characters, making tough choices in moral dilemmas, and thinking laterally, you can unlock vastly different endings.”
The game will have players attempting to save a society from committing any sins using a vast variety of different methods. From reasoning and charming to bribing and threatening, it’s up to players to investigate, explore, and ultimately decide how best to accomplish their goals.
Featuring a brand new city with re-imagined characters and an all-new orchestral score, not to mention mo-cap animations and professional voice acting, The Forgotten City will bring a whole new world of lore for players.
