Jawesome Artwork Shows How A Live-Action Street Sharks Movie Could Look

You might not remember Street Sharks, but I certainly do. When I was growing up, the animated series about a team of super-powered sharks was something of an obsession of mine, to the point where I even wanted to take my Street Sharks figures to school. I was a strange kid.

Anyway, digital artist George Evangelista recently created an image depicting how Street Sharks might look as a live-action movie, and it looks absolutely jawesome (sorry). Evangelista admitted that he is not a huge Street Sharks fan, but was requested by fans to create the image.

Street Sharks was clearly created to cash in on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze, but never came close to enjoying the success of the latter series, being cancelled after just three seasons. A live-action Street Sharks movie may seem like nothing more than a pipe dream, but the fact that Evangelista received requests to create the image proves that the show will always have a strong fanbase. I would be first in line to see a Street Sharks movie, and I’m sure it would be fintastic (sorry again, I just couldn’t help myself).

If you have yet to experience the madness of Street Sharks, the complete series was released on DVD by Mill Creek Entertainment.
