I cannot believe we’re writing up another obit, but yes, we’ve lost another great one. Richard A. Dysart is no longer with us. He was 86.
Dysart enjoyed one hell of a run on the TV series “L.A. Law,” but for us horror fans he will always be “Doc” Copper from John Carpenter’s The Thing. Dysart also appeared in Back to the Future Part III, The Prophecy, and lent his voice to the animated Spawn series as Cogliostro.
At this time we’d like to extend our deepest of condolences to Richard’s friends, family members, and constituents. Thanks for all the memories, sir. We will forever keep watching the skies and smiling… knowing full well you’re up there.
