Every Day is Halloween: Dread Central’s 31-Day Horror Challenge for October 2018

Regular readers of Dread Central know that we liberated the 31-day movie challenge from the month of October a while back; beginning last July, we’ve brought you a Horror Heatwave challenge, an Aquatic Terrors challenge, and we’re about to wrap up our 30-day Back to School-themed daily challenge for the month of September.
October is the perfect month for a horror movie challenge, so you know there’s no way we’re sitting this month out, no matter how many other sites and networks are planning Halloween-themed slates of their own. Nine times out of ten, an October horror movie challenge will culminate with John Carpenter’s Halloween (released in 1978) on the 31st, but this isn’t your typical Samhain season.
Since Blumhouse’s Halloween is slashing into theaters on October 19th, we’re including it on our 31-Day Challenge—with the entire franchise proceeding it. Yes, we’re even including those controversial Rob Zombie reboots, so you’ll be a Michael Myers expert just in time for 2018’s Halloween!
Since we live life like every day is Halloween, each film will either take place on the holiday, or in the days leading up to it. The idea is to create unique and inspiring curriculums for the truly devoted, so ask yourself: Are you a horror fan who lives every day like it’s Halloween, too? Do you have the gumption and the stamina to consume a new horror movie every day of every month? If so, feast your eyes on our 31-day horror challenge for October below.
