Dread Central and New Noise Magazine Present Carach Angren’s First Ever North American Headlining Tour

We are incredibly excited today to announce that we, along with New Noise Magazine, are sponsoring the first ever North American headlining tour from Dutch symphonic black metal band Carach Angren! Taking place this Fall, the tour will begin in Quebec City in late September and end nearly a month later in New York City. The supporting acts will be Mors Principium Est and Wolfheart.
Carach Angren tells us, “After many successful tours and incredible support from our truly dedicated fans, we feel North America is ready to be drenched in the pitch black horrors of a fully extensive Carach Angren show this fall. Presenting our latest release Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten, and joined by well-known hauntings from our previous albums, we will bring you a horrifying roller coaster you won’t forget!”
Carach Angren will be touring in support of their latest album Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten, which ranked #17 in the Hard Rock Album Sales category, #18 on the Heatseekers category, and #48 on the Independent Albums category on US charts. It came out last June and is a concept album that tells the story of a young, nameless girl who uses a Ouija board only to summon multiple spirits who possess her. The album ends on a rather sinister twist that breaks the fourth wall…
The band’s 2015 album This Is No Fairytale was an incredibly dark and mature retelling of the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale, only the album dove into themes of domestic abuse, drug addiction, alcoholism, sexual child abuse, suicide, child abduction and cannibalism.
With a mixture of English with French, German, and Dutch vocals, Carach Angren constantly push the boundaries of black metal and what the genre has to offer.
