‘Sting’ Exclusive Motion Poster Is Ready To Give You The Creeps

Sting

Just the thought of a spider walking across my bare skin is enough to give me full-body chills. Even though I wouldn’t consider myself scared of the eight-legged creatures, I would respectfully like it if they stayed away from me. So of course, director Kiah Roache-Turner turns that nightmare scenario into a darkly funny and deeply upsetting reality with his new film Sting, which features the incredible effects of the Wētā Workshop team.

In the latest piece of spider horror, “12-year-old Charlotte’s pet spider rapidly transforms into a giant flesh-eating monster, forcing the young girl to fight for her family’s survival.”

We’re excited to exclusively share the latest motion poster for Sting, featuring an unsuspecting pup and a looming spider. It’s surprisingly cute, a shocking thing to say for a movie about a killer spider. Sorry, animal lovers, this one may not be for you.

Check it out below:

Sting is the latest from Australian director Roache-Turner who previously directed the two Wyrmwood films, gonzo post-apocalyptic zombie films filled to the bring with gore and practical effects. That tone, while dialed down since Sting is set in the present and in a more grounded version of reality, still permeates every frame of Roache-Turner’s latest work. Sting was both heart and bite as a giant, bloodthirsty spider devours anything and everything in its path.

Ryan Corr, Alyla Browne, Penelope Mitchell, Robyn Nevin, Noni Hazelhurst, Silvia Colloca, Danny Kim, and Jermaine Fowler star in the film.

Sting comes to theaters on April 12, 2024, from Well Go USA.
