Victor Crowley Survivor Andrew Yong’s Autobiography I, Survivor Coming Soon

Those of you that saw Adam Green’s most recent Hatchet film Victor Crowley know that a good portion of the film centers on the fact that soul Hatchet III survivor Andrew Yong (Parry Shen) wrote a b.s. book about his ordeal that night called I, Survivor.

Green has been teasing the book, co-written by Joe Knetter, for a while now and today we have news that, while the book is still being formatted for printing, it will be available soon through Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, and on ArieScope.com (where it comes autographed by Green).

Knetter and I originally started out writing I, Survivor as a companion piece to the Hatchet series,” says Green. “However, it wound up becoming so much more than just a novel that fills in what the audience didn’t see in the films. We realized very quickly that we had a rare opportunity to bring a fictitious character to full three-dimensional life by having ‘him’ tell his story in a first-person narrative.”

Pre-orders for the paperback (signed by Adam Green) will begin on ArieScope.com when the release date is announced, and fans who ordered the exclusive hardcover versions (signed by Green and Knetter) on the “Dismember America Tour” will be shipped their copies first when the books come in.

I think that fans are going to be surprised by how deep this book actually goes into who Andrew Yong is and what he went through,” Knetter adds. “I, Survivor turns Yong into a real person by humanizing his story in a way that a film just can’t.”

We expect to hear an exact release date in a few weeks but an early summer street date is projected. Are you excited to snag a copy of I, Survivor? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on FacebookTwitter, and/or Instagram!
