For the most part, you can’t have horror without an element of fantasy. Monsters, ghosts, creatures, etc… They’re all fantastical elements that can easily live within horror if handled right.

But what about when horror elements slide into the world of fantasy? It’s not a combination that we see happen all too often, but damn do I love it when it does!

So, color me excited for Dungeons & Dragqueens, an indie fantasy/horror film that blends the world of tabletop roleplaying with punk rock, demonic creatures, and budding teenage sexuality. Below is a teaser concept as well as a poster for the film.

Written and directed by Ken Hicks, Dungeons & Dragqueens is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.

Synopsis:
In 1989 Jason, Aaron, and Wolfgang cut their D&D campaign short to drive the girls next door to a punk show, only to find they must now face two demons and their own sexuality while drunk and on psychedelic drugs.
