We first heard about Cottage Country, starring Tucker and Dale vs. Evil‘s Tyler Labine and Watchmen‘s Malin Akerman, back in 2013 when it screened during Fantasia; and now Bulldog Film Distribution has announced the UK home video release of the rom-com/horror flick on DVD and digital later this summer. Bulldog Film Distribution is pleased to announce the UK home entertainment debut of the outrageous comedy horror COTTAGE COUNTRY (review), directed by Peter Wellington. Starring Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil), and Lucy Punch (Bad Teacher), it will have you squirming and in stitches from 10 August 2015, RRP £15.99. The film, which hails from the producer of Hobo with a Shotgun, will also be available through all good digital platforms like iTunes, Blinkbox, Google, Xbox, Virgin Movies On Demand, and more.
Todd (Labine) and Cammie (Akerman) are in love and are looking forward to an intimate weekend away together. Todd wants everything to be just perfect at the family cottage where he plans to propose to Cammie. But things begin to go awry with the arrival of Todd’s slacker brother, Salinger, and his free-spirited girlfriend, Masha (Punch).
Todd and Salinger see life very differently, and things start to get a little messy when Todd accidentally kills his brother with an axe! But Cammie is determined not to let a little blood and murder stand in the way of their perfect weekend…
