‘The Wrath of Becky’ NSFW Trailer: Becky Is Back And Bloodier Than Ever

The Wrath of Becky

In 2020, Lulu Wilson stunned us with her performance in the gnarly revenge thriller Becky. She played the titular 13-year-old who fights neo-Nazis in the woods after a series of rather unfortunate events. Now, in Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote‘s The Wrath of Becky, two years have passed. Becky, while trying to live a new life, is drawn back into the world of revenge. And if the new red band trailer is any indication, Becky is back and meaner than ever.

Read the full synopsis for The Wrath of Becky below:

Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman – a kindred spirit named Elena. But when a group known as the “Noble Men” break into their home, attack them, and take her beloved dog, Diego, Becky must return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones.

In his review of the film from its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival, Dread Central’s Drew Tinnin wrote:

With only a few years in between films, Wilson is even more commanding as a borderline psychotic on the verge of adulthood. She was born out of the feral tweener taking out neo-Nazis and Kevin James in the original. Now, she’s coming into her own as a comic book avenger that leaps off of the pages from the drawings in her journal (a book that should really be marked as evidence). If a third Becky film emerges, Lulu Wilson might emerge from the forest and take to the streets. Look out John Wick 4The Wrath of Becky may be your protégé.

Wilson stars in the film alongside Seann William Scott, Denise Burse, Jill Larson, Courtney Gains, Michael Sirow, Aaron Dalla Villa, Matt Angel, and Kate Siegel.

The Wrath of Becky comes exclusively to theaters on May 26, 2023.
