Silent Night, Deadly Podcast: Ep13 – SILENT NIGHT (2012)

You asked for it, Bill Goldberg asked for it, Krampus asked for it, and now Dread Central is proud to present the year-round Christmas horror podcast you’ve long been waiting for…Silent Night, Deadly Podcast! Chris, Kieran, Matt and Rob – collectively known as “The Jingle Boys” – are prepared to take you on one demented journey through a winter wonderland of the best and worst tinsel terror the big (and small) screen has to offer.

On this episode of your favorite (and only) “Christmas Horror” podcast, the Jingle Boys gamble on another holiday slasher remake. Black Christmas (2006) left the group divided, but Silent Night (2012) – Steven C. Miller’s loose remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) – resembles a second chance. Psycho St. Nick is knocking off naughty townsfolk with a flamethrower strapped to his back, which inspires confidence. Could this be another unanimous group recommendation?

Silent Night would have to pass the Jingle Boys’ test before earning due praise, of course. Will Matt herald this slasher as one of the last of its kind before mean-streak cinema dried out post-2012? Can Chris find enough festive decorations splattered with blood worth excitement? Does Rob get to witness a child victim or severe eye trauma? When will Kieran stop implicating himself for past crimes during recordings? All these questions and more await our lucky handful of viewers.
