Chris, Kieran, Matt and Rob – collectively known as “The Jingle Boys” – are prepared to take you on one demented journey through a winter wonderland of the best and worst tinsel terror the big (and small) screen has to offer.
Episode two sees The Jingle Boys tackle a fresh-out-the-box schlockfest: Aaron Mento’s Ugly Sweater Party. Think Troma, think John Waters, and think ultra-low budgets that only deliver on half of that comparison. It’s precisely what the title suggests. The soul of a serial killer inhabits an “ugly sweater,” possesses a horny bro on his way to a Christmas themed campsite party, and three kills are needed for the sweater to reach final formation.
Like I said – precisely as you’d expect.
Even though Ugly Sweater Party premiered only a couple weeks back, we here at Silent Night, Deadly Podcast think it important to dive straight into the weirdest of the worst early on. Showcase how bizarre some of these episodes will get. The lows reach so damn low, but at least Mento’s midnight monstrosity is memorable. Two Jingle Boys will argue that’s not worth squat, one remains indifferent, and the last heralds Ugly Sweater Party a yearly cult rewatch. The more you know about us, the easier it is to predict who aligns where.
