The season is upon us. Stockings are hanging, Santa’s checking his “Naughty” and “Nice” lists, and Mike Dougherty is gearing up to unleash his Christmas Krampus on horror fans everywhere. Still, we have to wait awhile before he and Legendary Pictures get to officially do so, but we’ve got something really cool to yule-tide you over.
Filmmaker Michael Dougherty provides horror fans a holiday present – an early glimpse into his dark Yuletide horror film Krampus, scheduled for release holiday season 2015. As Christmas trees burn and shadows fall, this set of three twisted “Krampus Cards” showcase the darker side of the holiday and provide a fun, shareable look at Michael’s subversive vision for the film.

Based on the ancient legend of a pagan demon who punishes the wicked, Legendary Pictures’ Krampus is a twisted horror comedy set during the holidays written and directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick ’r Treat). Co-written by Todd Casey and Zach Shields and produced by Legendary’s Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Garcia, this darkly festive tale of a yuletide ghoul will be released by Universal Pictures.
Legendary Pictures is behind the movie, which Universal will release just in time for next year’s holidays on December 4, 2015.
