We sat down with Slipknot and Stone Sour singer-turned-actor Corey Taylor last Wednesday at the Screamfest World Premiere of director Robert Hall’s Fear Clinic, in which the lyricist and vocalist stars, for a lengthy one-on-one video interview. Read on to see what he told us about the film and more.

Co-written by Hall and Aaron R. Drane and produced by Drane, Mark Johnson and Gwen Osborne, Fear Clinic stars Taylor alongside Robert “Freddy Krueger” Englund, Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky), Felisha Terrell (“Teen Wolf”), Angelina Armani (Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2) and Thomas Dekker (“Terminator: The Sarah Conor Chronicles”).

With the film set for a 2015 release via Anchor Bay, Taylor discussed what attracted him to Fear Clinic as well as working with the film’s director Hall (Laid to Rest) and co-star Englund, among others. Other topics included Taylor’s future film projects, writing aspirations, love of horror and musical career.

Dread Central would like to thank filmmaker John Michael Elfers (Finale) for the video.

Synopsis
When trauma-induced phobias begin to re-emerge in five survivors a year after their horrifying tragedy, they return to the “Fear Clinic,” hoping to find the answers they need to get cured.

Andover (Robert Englund), a fear doctor who runs the clinic, uses his Fear Chamber to animate their fears in the form of terrifying hallucinations. However, the good doctor soon begins to suspect that something more sinister may be at work, something that yearns to be more than just a hallucination…
