Good Morning Godzilla – More on New Kaiju Muto

Last week we told you that one of the new creatures to face Godzilla in Legendary Pictures’ new film will be a multi-legged mutant named Muto. Today we know a bit more about the creature.

A new product listing on the Things From Another World website discloses that there will be a special edition of the “Godzilla 2014 Movie Destruction Pack Assortment” that will be home to an “Exclusive Winged Muto”. What does that mean for the movie? Simply that this Muto creature will be deadly from land and air!

Exact Description from Listing:
“Bring the excitement of the all-new Godzilla movie home and fight for humanity as Godzilla, or be the Winged Muto and try to destroy the world! Your epic kaiju battles are sure to crumble cities and bring in the Air Force! Each pack features one (1) figure, one (1) destructible building, and one (1) military aircraft. Exclusive 3.5″ Winged Muto is only available in this assortment. Blister card packaging.”

A presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, Godzilla will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, except in Japan, where it will be distributed by Toho Co., Ltd. Legendary Pictures is a division of Legendary Entertainment.

Gareth Edwards directs the film from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham. Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni produce with Mary Parent and Brian Rogers. Alex Garcia and Patricia Whitcher serve as executive producers alongside Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira.

Slated to open on May 16, 2014, the film is expected to be presented in 3D.
