Friday the 13th Redux Scouting Scout?

It’s not huge news but since it’s post-Oscar time in Hollywood there’s not a whole helluva lot going on this morning, so why not make mention of it? If nothing else I can make fun of Rob Zombie’s Halloween one more time…
Fearnet talked to Halloween remake star Scout Taylor-Compton at the recent Texas Frightmare Weekend, who reported that she’s been approached by Platinum Dunes to star in their upcoming Friday the 13th reboot. I don’t even have a snarky remark about the casting, because in all honesty I can barely remember if I liked Scout in Halloween or not. I tried to block as much of it out of my memory as possible.
Along with Wicked Little Things and An American Crime, Scout can also be seen in the upcoming DTV remake of April Fool’s Day. She’s becoming a bit of a scream queen, no? Friday the 13th, if she accepts it, will definitely put her over the edge. Personally I’m more interested in who’s going to play Jason when the remake gets rolling, news we’ll be hearing any day now.
Filming is set to start on the Friday the 13th reboot on April 21st so expect more casting announcements to roll in soon!
