Craven Down for 25/8
In case any of you are looking at our lineup for Fear Fest 2 and wondering why in the hell Wes Craven isn’t a part of it, here’s your answer; he’s got a brand new movie that’s finally moving forward now that the Writer’s Strike is 100% officially over.
It’s called 25/8 and will mark the first time Craven has directed his own horror script since Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, over a decade previous. The story follows a serial killer who shows up 15 years after he is believed to have been killed, aiming to murder seven children born on the titular night.
“It’s more a thriller than slasher film, and revolves around a young kid with a very dark past involving his family and his father,” Craven told Variety. Pic will be financed and distributed by Rogue Pictures.
In addition to 25/8, it was mentioned that Rogue has greenlit a remake of The Crazies, which we just mentioned a few days back (“Crazies Redux Still Alive” – February 2007). Funny how these things work out. Keep it here for more on both films before you know it!
