Ghost House Gets Tattooist
A bit of time has gone by since we heard from the New Zealand film The Tattooist (“Tons of Tattooist Goodies!” – May 2007), but things seem to be going well for the project, which stars Dragon Wars lead Jason Behr, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures has nabbed the North American rights for the film, which the duo helped through the last stages of post production. Producer Robin Scholes and director Peter Burger were thrilled to have them aboard and are more than likely ecstatic that their film will get released here in the States through Sony, even if it is just direct to DVD.
For those unaware, The Tattooist is about a U.S. tattoo artist who accidentally unleashes a very angry spirit with one of his designs. Should be interesting to see just how realistic they get with their ink in this one; being a fan myself, it’ll be cool to see a horror movie about them, I just hope it’s done right!
