Exclusive: Check Out the New Poster for TIN CAN Screening at Fantasia!

Tin Can

Tin Can will have its North American Premiere at Fantasia this Saturday, August 7th.

Tin Can comes from director Seth A. Smith (Lowlife, The Crescent) and sees a fungal infection by the name of Coral ravaging wintry Eastern Canada and the rest of the world. Leading parasitologist Fret (Anna Hopkins) is working on ways to control the strange life-form when she is brutally kidnapped. Intubated and weak, she wakes up in a life-suspension chamber – a human-sized tin can – placed in a dark and damp brutalist facility where others are seemingly enduring the same fate.

Today, Dread Central is thrilled to exclusively debut the new poster for Tin Can! Check it out at the bottom of the article!

Synopsis:
Cold, pale, and in the dark, Fret crashes back to waking life, inside a life-suspension chamber. From her tiny cell, she commiserates with other captives; together they piece together what happened. A global plague called Coral had been ravaging Earth. The invasive slime mold swept the planet with incredible speed, infecting all living things. Fret had been a parasitologist, obsessed with developing new ways to control the organism. Her work could have saved millions, but before she could complete it, she was imprisoned by an unknown abductor. As her cellmates, one by one, are dragged off by a faceless attendant, she must find a way to escape and save the last of her kind.

Tin Can stars Anna Hopkins, Michael Ironside, Kristin Langille, Simon Mutabazi, and Chik White.

“[Tin Can] never sacrifices the profoundly human core of its storytelling, which will resonate long after Fret’s confinement,” says Ariel Esteban Cayer of Fantasia.
