Synopsis:
A mob hit gone awry embroils two mobsters in a series of unfortunate events too calculated to be a coincidence, leading ultimately to ruin and an act of savage revenge.
Rostislav Vaynshtok’s first short film receives its world premiere on August 15th, 2021, at Florida’s Popcorn Frights Film Festival as part of their Homegrown Fresh Squeezed Horror sidebar which highlights Miami’s local filmmakers.
Drawing inspiration from films like I Saw the Devil, A Bittersweet Life, Female Prisoner 701: Scorpion, The Neon Demon, and Only God Forgives; Vaynshtok’s take on revenge sinks into the horror territory with organ harvesting mobsters and a quest for vengeance.

Ukraine-born, Miami-raised Musician and Filmmaker Rostislav Vaynshtok is a time-based media artist. Having signed to the prolific William Morris Endeavor in 2012 with his electronic solo project AbdeCaf, Vaynshtok has played some of the most prestigious music festivals in North America and has been critically acclaimed by top tier publications for both his musical efforts and his record label Bribery Corporation. After retiring from his AbdeCaf project and honing his craft, Vaynshtok has returned with his first single as Slavvy, titled “Lavender.” Slavvy’s debut EP will release September 24th on the 9th anniversary of his last release as AbdeCaf.
