How You Can Help an Indie Filmmaker Make a Coming-of-Age Monster Movie

Award-winning filmmaker David Noel Bourke was born in Ireland and is now based in Denmark and he’s working on an exciting new movie! The film is called Vincent and tells the story of a teenager named Viggo who is bullied at school. When Viggo makes a new friend named Vincent, who is new in town, his father, a police officer, begins to suspect Vincent may have committed a brutal murder.

Synopsis: A fantasy/drama, Vincent, tells the story of a young, troubled teenager who meets a stranger who has the power to change his life forever.

Inspired by Bourke’s own childhood experiences and the films of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, and many episodes of The Twilight Zone, Vincent, is a personal film about need, love, and acceptance. Most of us have known someone who has been bullied at some time in their lives and we all need friends. Bourke uses humor, love, and the unknown to tell the story of Vincent and hopes others will be able to relate to the film.

Vincent stars Mikkel Vadsholt, an experienced, award-winning actor who played the lead in Bourke’s successful independent film Bakerman, as the mysterious Vincent. Herman Knop, a well-known Danish actor, plays the lonely, bullied teenage Viggo. The film is written and directed by David Noel Bourke, also known for No Right Turn and the award-winning Bakerman, and also stars Silke Biranell and Joachim Knop.

The team behind Vincent have released a mesmerizing trailer and are so close to reaching their goal for completing the film and releasing it in 2022. You can check out the trailer on their Kickstarter page where you can join the campaign to support Vincent while also supporting indie film!
