Here's the first full trailer for Neill Blomkamp's DEMONIC, arriving in theaters on August 20th! Watch it now!

IFC Midnight is releasing Demonic, the new film from writer-director Neill Blomkamp and AGC Studios, in theaters and on VOD beginning August 20th. Blomkamp earned critical acclaim for his debut, the sci-fi allegory on immigration District 9. He found further success with the films Elysium and Chappie.

Today, producers released the trailer for Demonic! Check it out and read more about the movie below.

Synopsis:
A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed in this horror-thriller from director Neill Blomkamp.

The film uses a patent-pending new method of using volumetric capture (a three-dimensional video technology that turns actors into geometric objects.). The amount of volumetric capture in Demonic is the most ever seen in a feature film.

AGC Studios and STABILITi Studios co-financed and co-produced Demonic last summer. It marks Blomkamp’s fourth film. Joining Blomkamp is also Oats Studios collaborator, editor Austyn Daines.

The film stars up-and-comers Carly Pope (Elysium), Chris William Martin (The Age of Adaline, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, TV’s The Vampire Diaries), and Michael Rogers (TV’s Siren, TV’s The Blacklist, TV’s Supernatural). Neill Blomkamp, Mike Blomkamp of STABILITi Studios, Stuart Ford and Linda McDonough of AGC Studios are on board as producers. Serving as executive producers are AGC’s Miguel Palos Jr., Alastair Burlingham, Charlie Dombek, Viktor Muller, and Steven St. Arnaud.
