In a small South Carolina town, horror occurs in a seemingly normal home. A disturbed mother justifies the abuse of her four children with her interpretations of the bible. Escape from her violent clutches seems impossible.

In this chilling adaptation of Stephen King’s horror novel, withdrawn and sensitive teen Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) faces taunting from classmates at school and abuse from her fanatically pious mother (Piper Laurie) at home. When strange occurrences start happening around Carrie, she begins to suspect that she has supernatural powers. Invited to the prom by the empathetic Tommy Ross (William Katt), Carrie tries to let her guard down, but things eventually take a dark and violent turn.

The film stars Kiera Allen as a homeschooled teenager Chloe was raised by her mother Diane (Sarah Paulson) in total isolation. Her mother has totally controlled her since she was born, but now as a teenager, Chloe is starting to explore her mother’s secrets and begins to suspect her mother is keeping a dark one from her.

While exploring her new home, a girl named Coraline (Dakota Fanning) discovers a secret door, behind which lies an alternate world that closely mirrors her own but, in many ways, is better. Coraline must use all her resources and bravery to make it back to her own family and life.

05. Nola Carveth (The Brood)

A man’s wife is under the care of an eccentric and unconventional psychologist who uses innovative and theatrical techniques to breach the psychological blocks in his patients. When their daughter comes back from a visit with her mother and is covered with bruises and welts, the father attempts to bar his wife from seeing the daughter but faces resistance from the secretive psychologist. Meanwhile, the wife’s mother and father are attacked by strangely deformed children, and the man begins to suspect a connection with the psychologist’s methods.
