Everyone loves slashers. Everyone also loves Stephen Gammell’s artwork for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. How about combining them? Sounds good to us! Recently, our buddies over at Bloody Disgusting made us aware of an artist “Watchful Eye” who has adapted Gammell’s style and paired it with our favorite slashers including Jason, Freddy, Candyman, Michael Myers, Leatherface, and Ghostface!

Producer Guillermo del Toro and director Andre Ovredal’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 2 is in the works. And Ovredal teases it will tap even more into Gammell’s visual world more than the first movie.
Øvredal says: “I learned so much on Scary Stories, but also about Scary Stories and I do think that we’ll tap even more into [illustrator Stephen] Gammell’s visual world in the sequel than we did in the first movie.”
Ovredal (Trollhunter) returns to direct the sequel from a screenplay written by Dan and Kevin Hageman from a screen story by Del Toro based on the books written by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell. Read the script HERE.
