Producer Guillermo del Toro and director Andre Ovredal’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 2 is in the works. And Ovredal teases it will tap even more into Gammell’s visual world more than the first movie.

Øvredal says: “I learned so much on Scary Stories, but also about Scary Stories and I do think that we’ll tap even more into [illustrator Stephen] Gammell’s visual world in the sequel than we did in the first movie.”

Ovredal (Trollhunter) returns to direct the sequel from a screenplay written by Dan and Kevin Hageman from a screen story by Del Toro based on the books written by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell. Read the script HERE.
